Our Unique “Hands as a Service” Proposition

Let’s get real for second. Robots break. Especially, when you’re doing real world, cutting edge research on the intersection of the physical and AI-envisioned world.

Sometimes it will be you, sometimes it will be us. All that matters is that we have a plan to get your research back on track with a replacement DexHand as soon as physically possible.

So, we’ve designed our service and maintenance program to reflect this reality!

Service Subscription Model

During our Beta window, DexHands are not currently “for sale”. Instead, we have a trial program, followed by a subscription model which allows you to swap a broken or malfunctioning DexHand for a replacement. How it works:

  1. You contact us and let us know your DexHand is broken and what your service address is.
  2. We ship a replacement DexHand from our inventory
  3. When it arrives, you put your DexHand in the box, attach the return label, and drop it with UPS

Long term, we’re going to use the data and what we learn in order to make the DexHand better, and to come up with improved parts and procedures.

Someday, the hand will be available with a purchase price, and warranty, and all those other good things.

However, for now, we want to work together with our Beta customers to learn and to ensure they have working DexHand’s with minimal downtime for their research efforts.
